The largest glass in the world
On July 12, China National Building Materials Group’s Triumph Technology Yaohua Zhonglian Glass successfully produced 15mm×3.66m×24m ultra-white glass at one time, breaking through the core technical difficulties of defect control, annealing quality, complete edge removal, hoisting and storage, and breaking the world record for ultra-white glass raw sheet manufacturing. The single piece of glass is 87.8 square meters and weighs 3.3 tons. It has become another successful practice for Zhonglian Glass to adjust its product structure and develop new products, opening a new chapter.
Since June this year, Zhonglian Glass has focused on product transformation and upgrading, committed to the technical research of ultra-white, ultra-thick and ultra-large plate glass, focusing on core bottleneck technologies, formulating meticulous production plans, continuously improving technical indicators, and implementing various production guarantee measures.
By adjusting the tin bath outlet temperature, annealing curve, cross-cutting machine, edge bending machine equipment parameters, installing crane arms, planning storage locations and other measures, we have overcome the problems that may occur in the production process, such as board defects, board explosion, uneven cutting and edge bending, and difficulty in crane suction and release, and successfully produced ultra-white large plate glass of different thicknesses and specifications.
This production is another successful practice of improving and innovating the production technology of ultra-white, ultra-thick, and ultra-large plate glass products based on fully summarizing the experience of successfully producing 12mm×3.66m×24m ultra-white ultra-large plates on June 29. The relevant process technology will apply for national patents.
On the day of trial production, with a crisp sound of “bang”, a piece of ultra-white 15mm thick plate that meets various technical indicators was optimized and cut to 3.66m×24m and drove to the rear end along the acceleration roller. After the crane steadily sucked and released the plate, it successfully fell into the backrest frame.
The successful roll-off of this 8-story-long “huge” panel is of extraordinary significance, marking that China’s building materials production capacity of ultra-clear, ultra-thick, ultra-large glass panels has reached the international leading level, demonstrating the company’s strength in process technology innovation and product structure transformation, and injecting strong momentum into expanding new profit growth points, accelerating the formation of new quality productivity, and achieving high-quality development.
